Fry Communications installs additional saddle binder

Mechanicsburg, PA - Fry Communications has begun installation of a new Muller Martini Primera saddle stitching system. This state-of-the-art stitcher brings the highest levels of automation and reliability to this binding process. It will begin running in June of 2011.

"This continued investment in our core print business demonstrates our commitment to bringing the latest technology to our customers," said Steve Grande, Fry's VP of Sales. "Adding another Muller stitcher to our existing stable provides additional flexibility and cost-effective binding options for customers of all sizes."

Hi Anthony,

Sorry for the delay.

The Primera is a family of stitchers that range from 11,000 cph to 16,000 cph. A good rule of thumb is your running speed is 80% of rated speed, and your net is 80% of running speed.

The big boost in productivity comes from automated setups and in line finishing to eliminate steps like addressing and mailing.
